About Bodega Cerrón
Bodega Cerrón is a distinguished family-owned winery located in Fuente-Álamo, in the Jumilla Denomination of Origin, southeastern Spain. The Cerrón family has been involved in viticulture for generations, initially selling their Monastrell grapes to local cooperatives. In 2011, they established the winery to produce estate-bottled wines that fully express the region’s high-altitude terroir.
The estate sits at around 980 meters above sea level, with calcareous soils and a continental climate that provide excellent conditions for producing wines with vibrant fruit, balanced acidity, and mineral complexity. Bodega Cerrón emphasizes organic and biodynamic practices, including hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in large oak foudres and concrete vats to preserve purity and expression.
Under the leadership of Juan José Cerdán and his siblings, the winery has revitalized neglected vineyards and elevated the profile of Jumilla wines internationally. Their portfolio includes expressive Monastrell reds, as well as innovative whites and blends that highlight the diversity of the region. Through a commitment to sustainability, minimal intervention, and terroir-driven winemaking, Bodega Cerrón has gained recognition for producing wines of elegance, intensity, and authenticity, firmly establishing itself as a benchmark producer in Jumilla.
