Tasting Note

Complex array of aromas starting with oxidised Fino, rich and full, half way between Fino and Amontillado – some dried fruits such as sultana and a trace of old oak, something slightly humid and autumnal, the beginnings of that delightful Amontillado smell of toasted hazelnuts with a hint of honeyed sweetness and membrillo.

Product Notes

Emilio Hidalgo El Tresillo Amontillado Fino is an exquisite Spanish wine from the Andalusian region known for its fortified sherries. Showcasing impressive depth and complexity, it boasts a delightful blend of almond, drizzled honey, and toasted brioche flavours. Subtle tropical fruit undertones dance on the palate, marrying wonderfully with its sherry dryness. This Amontillado Fino wine, expertly aged in American oak barrels, exudes an amber hue to rival a sunset. It delivers an olfactory delight with hints of yeast and mouldy wood, making it an elegant accompaniment for mature cheese, soups, and pâtés. A venerable, charming experience for the discerning wine connoisseur.
