Product Notes

Tablas Creek Vineyard's Patelin de Tablas Rouge wine is an exquisite blend, embodying the generous spirit of California's Paso Robles region. It possesses an enticing bouquet of dark berries, spicy plum, and a hint of earthy tones. On the palate, it flourishes with black cherry and currant flavours married seamlessly with mild tannins, forging a delightful harmony. The finish is lasting and refined, enhancing its overall appeal. This expertly crafted red wine is a testament to the exceptional know-how of Tablas Creek Vineyard, making it an ideal accompaniment to varied gastronomical delights.

Tasting Notes

A dark, spicy Syrah-driven nose reminiscent of Cornas: teriyaki, black olive, eucalyptus and black plum. On the palate, meaty and juicy, with flavors of soy marinade, black raspberry, wood smoke and white pepper. The long, gently tannic finish lingers with black fruit and spice. Delicious now, but with the substance and balance to age for up to a decade

About the Winery

Tablas Creek Vineyard

Tablas Creek Vineyard is an extraordinary winery situated in the heart of the picturesque Paso Robles wine region in sunny California. Its roots, quite literally, stretch back to the French wine estates of Château de Beaucastel, making this winery a fascinating blend of traditional, old-world techniques and modern ingenuity.

Tablas Creek Vineyard encapsulates an authentic approach to wine cultivation, taking ample care in each steps throughout the winemaking process. Being biodynamically farmed and certified organic, the vineyard is all about the coexistence of land and vine. They reject the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers and opt instead to treat the land with nature's own tools – animals grazing on cover crops, enriching the soil with their manure, and bees pollinating the vines.

The vineyard itself is comprised of a vast 120 acres, boasting an impressive array of grape varietals including Mourvèdre, Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Counoise for red wine, and Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier Perfume, and Grenache Blanc for white wine.

At the heart of Tablas Creek Vineyard is the tasting room, the focal point of the grapes transformative journey into elegant wines. Patrons can taste an array of luscious wines, learn about the winemaking process, and explore the vast vineyard on guided tours.

Notably, Tablas Creek prides its self in producing wines that reflect the character of the grapes and the land, believing that the best wines come from a balance of these elements. Their vision and drive for environmental sustainability and their close-knit, family-run approach to their vineyard is applauded in the wine industry.

All in all treated as a living organism, Tablas Creek Vineyard takes a holistic and humble approach to winemaking, carefully nurturing its grapes from the soil to the bottle. The beautiful result is a selection of rich, striking wines that not only taste remarkable, but also offer a sip of the vineyard’s unique terroir.
