Tasting Note

This wine is balanced and aromatic, displaying complex aromas of blackberry, sweet raspberry, preserved plums and incense. The palate is bright and spicy, with black cherry, cassis and red plum, followed by liquorice, nutmeg and pepper. A perfect balance between delicacy and complexity with a long, silky finish.

Product Notes

Maximin Grünhaus Abtsberg Pinot Noir is a considered gem among the German wines. It possesses a refined fruitiness that is pleasingly offset by balanced acidity. This wine boasts an alluring ruby colour, a sign of its maturity. The nose is met with a tantalising bouquet of ripe cherries and subtle spice notes. Its flavour profile is complex yet harmoniously smooth, with hints of berry fruits and soft undertones of oak and truffles. What truly sets this Pinot Noir apart is its extended finish that leaves an elegant aftertaste. Savour this craftsmanship in a glass paired with roasted poultry or game dishes.

Each has its own distinct microclimate, aspect and soil that lends itself to singular expressions of Riesling.
