Tasting Note

This Kabinett displays aromas of apricot, mango and passion fruit, with playful blossom characters and yeasty notes. The palate is refreshingly fruity and elegant with a racy acidity and vibrant peach, kumquat and orange zest and flavours.

Product Notes

Maximin Grünhaus Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett, a German white wine from the Mosel region, boasts an exquisite balance of acidic zest and lingering sweet tones. Its nose introduces fresh green apple, pear and lime zest, swiftly moving to honeyed undertones on the palate. With its lingering, slightly mineral finish, this wine's complexity only matures with age. Delivering a hint of svelte richness without forgoing light-bodied freshness, this remarkable Riesling is an elegant accompaniment to fish, poultry, and vegetarian dishes. Emanating with marked vibrancy and sophisticated finesse, it is a testament to the stellar quality that the Maximin Grünhaus estate is renowned for.

About the Winery

Maximin Grünhaus

Maximin Grünhaus is a world-class Riesling specialist, based in the Ruwer district of the Mosel, with a viticultural history dating back to the Roman era. Located on steep, south-facing slopes, the estates' celebrated vineyards are divided into separate, but contiguous plots, including the famed ‘Abtsberg’ and ‘Herrenberg’. Each has its own distinct microclimate, aspect and soil that lends itself to singular expressions of Riesling.
