Product Notes

The Scarzello Barolo Sarmassa Vigna Merenda wine is an exquisite red bursting with elegance and complexity. Born of the Nebbiolo grape from Italy's Piedmont region, its luxurious bouquet carries tantalising notes of wild berries, truffle, and balsamic. On the palate, it gifts a symphony of rich black cherry, violets, and subtle hint of tobacco. With ageing, it develops a stunning depth that beautifully balances its firm tannins and vibrant acidity. This wine, offering a lengthy and satisfying finish, truly embodies the grandeur and refinement of old-world Italian viticulture. Its stunning mirror into the terroir of the Barolo region makes each sip unforgettable.

Tasting Notes

A real beauty, sensual and floral red and black fruits but with a fervour and depth that puts it one step above the regular Barolo. Wonderfully complex array of fruits, garriguettes strawberries, Victoria plum, damson, fresh cut cflower. So alluring and velvety but with a bright “digest” edge. As seductive as they come.
